Thank You

BdayBashThanks

Wow, that was quite a night… and what an atmosphere! I hope everyone had a good time at our 1st Birthday Bash at Champions! I know we did. A big thank you to The Longest Day, The Neon Tigers, Rapids!, Nion Abeo, The Otherhalf and Western Sand for putting on an awesome show. I think you’ll agree with me that the entertainment was top notch. If you hadn’t already seen some of the bands that performed, I hope they lived up to the expectations we may have built up with our praise over the last year. I hope we’ll have some photos and video from the night soon!

Other than the bands that I’ve already mentioned, I would like to thank everyone involved in making the event what it was. Further thanks goes to:

Austyn Brown Added To Our Downloads Page

AustynBrownDL

Austyn Brown’s six track debut EP The More I Know, The Less I See is available now from our Download page. Tom Fisher likened Austyn’s sound to the melodies and riffs of Stererophonics and the swagger of Paul Weller. Tom also said “He brings a vintage flavour and style that seems to be missing in the mainstream right now and an old school, hard working attitude. Quoting Austyn himself  ”If you’re gonna do it – do it right!”

Nion Abeo Added To Our Downloads Section

TheCompanyExpiresNews

Nion Abeo’s The Company Expires EP is now available for free download on Dorset Rock Online. Dan Roberts gave the EP a thumbs up in his review back in January and said the following: “The songs are an excellent kind of condensed post-rock. Think of a cross between Mogwai, a more up beat and direct Sigur Ros, combined with the song writing craft of Biffy Clyro and you’re somewhere close.” You can read the full review here.
