About Dorset Rock Online

Welcome to Dorset Rock Online - a website dedicated to all of you in Dorset UK with a thirst for Rock music of any kind – from acoustic to metal and everything in between. We like to think of this as the online home of Dorset’s rock scene and we’re working hard to be your number one resource whether you need to find out who’s gigging at the weekend, keep up with what’s happening or just want to kill some time on your lunch break. The website is blog based and features news, reviews, articles, classifieds as well as listings of local events, promoters, venues and bands. Our most recent addition to the website is a free music Downloads page.

Our goals are to inform, inspire and entertain. It would be easier to build a popular website through negativity and controversy, and there are plenty of those sites out there if that’s what you’re after. Instead we choose to spend our time telling you (mostly) about the stuff we like and support. We may have the odd grumble but we keep it constructive and move on. We enjoy building relationships within our community but we’ll never lie about stuff. We’re music fans, writers, photographers, promoters and designers but most of all we’re human beings too! We love music so much that we dedicate huge amounts of our free time to telling you about it. So if you see an article you like, please post a comment and let the author know!
