This weeks Track of the Week is brought to you by recent Blandford Battle of the Bands winners Thomas and the Mock Ups. This song is perfect to feature now considering the UK has just been through another election full of political unrest.

The Elitist is an atmospheric, multi-layered, indie-rock triumph.
Rapids! are another band stepping beyond the call of duty and creating something of a standard so high that they deserve a title better than ‘local band’. The
Bloc Party and
Foals references are easy to make but the darker undertone of Steve DaCosta’s heavy guitar sound and James Davies’ lightning punk rock drumming are just two of the things that take the band beyond these comparisons and into something of their own entirely.
I asked singer Matt Holliday about the track.
